چکیده

Coombs and Gell1) classified allergic phenomena into four types, of which three (types I, II and III) are immediate-type, and one (type IV) is delayed-type. The former reactions are caused by humoral antibodies, while the latter is caused by a cellular antibody. We have already reported that the carboxamidemethylated L chain2) and the carboxamidemethylated H and L chains') show anti-ulcerogenic and anti-inflammatory activities, respectively. In this paper, we describe the effect of carboxamidemethylated Fc (CM-Fc) on various allergic models.

Identification of conformational epitopes on fragment crystallizable region of human Immunoglobulin G by immunoinformatic

Background: Immunoglobulins are a group of proteins have important role in defense against microorganisms. Human immunoglobulins are divided into five classes: IgA, IgM, IgD, IgE and IgG. Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is the highest abundant antibody in serum and extravascular fluids. The extent of serum IgG is related to severity of several diseases such as infections, so IgG has great diagnostic wor...

بررسی اپی توپ های خطی ایمونوژن ایمونوگلوبولین G انسان به روش ایمونوانفورماتیک

Background and objective : Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is the most abundant antibody in serum and extracellular fluids. The amount of serum IgG is associated to severity of some diseases like immunodeficiency, infections and autoimmunity. Therefore IgG has a high diagnostic value. Immunoinformatic is a branch of immunology which helps in solving of immunologic problems, well understanding of immun...

A direct binding assay for rheumatoid factor serum antiglobulins using fluorescein-labelled Fc fragment of human immunoglobulin-G.

A simple routine method is described for the quantitation of antiglobulin (rheumatoid factor) in human serum irrespective of its immunoglobulin class. Papain Fc fragment of human IgG is labelled with fluorescein isothiocyanate and incubated with the serum. Bound Fc is separated from free Fc by precipitation with polyethylene glycol and measured by the fluorescence of the precipitate. Results ar...

Aggregated IgG inhibits the differentiation of human fibrocytes.

Fibrocytes are fibroblast-like cells, which appear to participate in wound healing and are present in pathological lesions associated with asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, and scleroderma. Fibrocytes differentiate from CD14+ peripheral blood monocytes, and the presence of serum delays this process dramatically. We previously purified the factor in serum, which inhibits fibrocyte differentiation, and...

The three-dimensional structure of the carbohydrate within the Fc fragment of immunoglobulin G.

The IgG molecule, like all antibodies, is a glycoprotein, and with the discovery in 1959 that the rabbit IgG molecule could be split by the action of papain into two Fab (antigen-binding) and one Fc (crystallizable, complementand cell-binding) fragment, the major glycosylation site was found to lie within Fc (Porter, 1959). (The Fc fragment conists of the C-terminal half of each of the two ‘hea...
